Peter Ungerleider

Peter Ungerleider brings more than two decades of executive leadership in data, technology, and AI-enabled transformation across the financial services sector. His career spans senior roles at PNC Bank, PenFed Credit Union, CGI and FI Consulting, as well as advisory engagements at Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Capital One, Office of Federal Student Aid, and the SBA — with delivery work across JPMorgan Chase, US Bank, Bank of America, KeyBank, Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank of Canada, and Barclays.

At PNC, Peter served as Senior Vice President overseeing consumer and business banking strategy — centralizing fraud analytics and achieving a 25% reduction in fraud losses in the first year, saving $16M through a small business lending overhaul, and leading the migration of an on-premise enterprise data and model infrastructure to a new cloud-based Big Data platform. For Fannie Mae, he led an engagement that reengineered loss forecasting processes to cut model run times by 80% and reduce production cycles from six weeks to one. Peter also launched data-driven customer experience programs at US Bank, Bank of Montreal, KeyBank, and PNC that generated over $500M in benefits by improving the effectiveness of customer interactions across the full customer lifecycle.

His core expertise sits at the intersection of decision management, credit risk analytics, and cloud-native data infrastructure. He has directed AWS migrations for decision engines and enterprise modeling and data platforms, led CECL and CCAR model validation projects, and helped design the organizational operating models for fraud analytics/operations and modeling and econometrics organizations.

Peter holds an MS in Operations Research from George Mason University and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University. At DataStudios, he advises financial services clients on AI readiness, decision intelligence frameworks, and data strategy for AI-first operating models.
